Guyanese Hassa
Flour
Lime
Coconut milk
Boiled Water
Chiefs Curry Powder
Turmeric
Roasted ground Geera
Garam Masala
Garlic Herb Powder
Green mango
Salt
Paprika
Crushed Red Pepper
Green Onions
Mari Wiri Peppers
Grind Up / Green Seasoning
Recipe
Clean your Hassa with flour, salt, and lime.
Make your curry seasoning, Turmeric, curry powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, ground geera, garam masala, Mari wiri and crushed red peppers.
Chop your Onions and Garlic
Season your Hassa with your curry seasoning
In a pan heat some oil and add your grind up/green seasoning
Now add in your onions, garlic, and sautΓ©.
Add in your seasoning and cook down till it looks like a paste
Time to add in your water, but donβt add too much! Let your sauce cook down a bit.
Throw some green mango pieces into that pot!
Grab your coconut milk and add in Half of a can (Depending on how much hassa you have), let that cook for 10-20 mins.
Add in your Hassa
Serve with rice and garnish with green onions and cilantro.
