Ingredients
1/2 - Whole Cut up Chicken
2 Cups Basmati Rice
Cumin
Salt
3-4 Tomatoes
Greek Yogurt
Chilli powder
Garam masala
Cilantro
Minced Ginger
Chopped or diced Onion
Minced Garlic
Garlic Paste
Green + Red Chiles
Tumeric or Saffron Water
1 Star Anise
Cardamon
1 stick of Cinnamon
1 Clove
Recipe
Wash your rice and Clean your Chicken!!
Marinate your chicken with greek yogurt, cumin, chili powder, salt, ginger, and garlic paste.
Time to boil your rice with 1 clove, star anise, cinnamon and cardamom for 4-5 mins
Sauté your onions for 3-5 mins and then add in your garlic.
Add in your chicken and let that cook for 20-40 mins depending on how much chicken you have.
Once chicken is 3/4 of the way finished, add in your tomatoes and cover for another 15-20 mins.
Remove half of your chicken and set aside
Time to start layers!!! Add a layer of rice, cilantro, saffron or turmeric water, chicken, rice, cilantro and more saffron water.
Cover for 10-15 mins.
Serving time!! Garnish with cilantro, green onions and a cucumber yogurt/cucumber raita.
